I am puzzled!!!!
Why would anyone want to buy your house when they can buy it from the estate agent?
You cant sell your house back to the estate agent. |
Really?

And who would want to sell it on an open market, only to be mugged big time when it is sold?

I'm concerned as well.
I'm sure a lot of people sold their main property to buy 2 separate smaller ones so that during the last week one of them didn't end up in a shack.
Now because we can't sell directly back to the estate agent it looks like we'll lose money and probably won't be able to regain our old house because the market will be flooded with people trying to sell their houses to upgrade again, thus driving down the prices.
If that's true then I think the we should be able to sell directly back to the estate agent for a week at least so everyone can get back into our old houses.

another big issue is if you cant sell the house or rent it forever to someone all the upkeep adds up(even if you dont live in it) this is the most flawed and worst thoughtout update in tc history

To all of the low level complainers the updates are great. Just because it is new does not mean you should be able to use it. These are things that reward older players and are things for you guys to work to get. Many of us had to work hard to get out of a shack and there are many lvl 10 and under in mansions and ranches. This game has always been working to achieve not just being handed rewards. That is why this is the best game of this type out there.

wow, Ched, you have out done yourself this time. The property deal is totally awesome!!!!! I had been a little worried my wife might one day leave me and take my ranch, but she can't now!!! The upgrades are Far Out!!!! Way to go!!!!!

250000? thats insane......if you just want to play a low price RR game thats just way too much.....plus younger players cant even afford that for anything....if youre selling a minigun for example it takes a giant chunk out of your profits

Honestly I'm a bit disappointed with the way things were upgraded. Especially because we didn't know what will happen. My wife and I sold off a palace for a ranch each so that we could continue training not knowing that it'll be harder to resell and buy our palace back again. Now we're not even sure whether anyone would buy our ranch so we can buy a palace. Geez... next time please do give us a warning of your major change in the gaming system.

to NX-Men Collousses yes everyone worked hard to get there shack to mansion or ranch but your forgetting it just doesnt reward the high lv players it punishes us low lvs players, hell not even punish thats to light of a word it royally screws us in everyway whos gonna buy low end houses when theres gonna be 0 demand for them now due to the new upodate and 1000s on the amrket guess ill be paying for the upkeep forever now and any othe rhouse i buy as well a update that screws 80% of tc forever for no reason is NOT A GOOD UPDATE get your facts straight remember when you where a noob and now add the update to the equation = your screwed

From the properties tab:
Upkeep is deducted from your money nightly. You will only be charged upkeep if the property is in use. For example, if you are living in it, or you are renting it to someone (who then moves in to the property), or your spouse is living in a property you own; you will be charged the upkeep in all these circumstances.
So, while having extra properties that aren't being used might not help you much, they also won't cost you money in upkeep.

That is ridiculous. You will be able to sell your house, as long as you don't overprice it. An appartment with a pool is better than an appartment. You will just have to make sure you ask less than the full new value for the package. Simple.
You take a loss, yes, but in return, you have been able to enjoy a higher happiness untill you are able to move on to the next house.

silence low level whiners. Us higher levels / people who've been here for hundreds of days have had to deal with a lot of stuff in our younger days. Nowadays you have all these advantages that you don't even consider advantages cause you started out with them. Why back in my day when I started, there was nobody that gave out money to new players. There was no drugs to have rapid stat gains. Banking interest? Forget about it, banks didn't exsist!! You beat the money out of people or stole it, or played the stock/item/point market like everybody else.
You low level whiners make me sick. You don't know how good you have it!

I just noticed after upgrading my house that the house value has not increased. Does this mean i will not get a refund for any upgrades I make to the house if i sell it?

This easy way to get more happy now is actually an advantage to low levels(when happy counts big time) in training that wasn't there for older players.
