While the upgrades are nice, and i enjoy my new happiness bar quite a bit, there's a few issues i have, those are that people are hardcore underselling their houses so i was wondering, can you not sell your house back to the estate agent anymore? Another issue i have is there going to be a house flood because of this, since people can own more than one house, making it far more difficult to sell a house.

And why the HELL are you still in a detached house? quit crying and start doing crimes, what do want? how about the higher you get the smaller the house would that make you happy. grow up little boy or go play checkers with your sand box pals.

I agree. I have heard already about the person doing all the upgrades complaining to their spouse about the costs of upkeep and expecting them to help out. Even though they never asked their spouse if they were willing to help out with the upkeep costs. If both could do their own upgrades that should fix it. But then it appears TC residents will complain about anything they can sometimes.
Personally, I love all the updates and want MORE MORE MORE!!!!:@

you must be braindead the whole point i was makeing from the first post is you cant sell back to the estate like you did (kinda funny how all the high lvs want to keep noobs down since they know theyd get there ass kiked for there behaviour)instead your stuck with property that you cant sell which produces income tax or have to sell a 300k house for 50-100k due to the market being overwhelmed with now unwanted houses since people wont go trailer-apartment-house because thats the stupiedest move you can make now, and easy? you had 1 month banking hell you got your money 3x as fast as we did or am i doing the math wrong? 3 months is quicker?? and woopdie due i can spend 1.3mil on upgrades to get the same happyness as a house that cost 750k yeah what an awesome money saver now i get whats wrong with you your in grade 2 and unexperienced?? what dont i know torncity is simple is simple you can learn everything someone whos been here for 1000 days in 2-3 days

Whiny n00bs make me laugh. Let me dissect your post since I have some time on my hands and if I clump it all together, you might not understand.
- Income tax isn't calculated for the house unless it's rented out or your living in it. Of course you sound like a guy that talks off the seat of his pants in a fit of teenager rage.
- You got a house, if you don't like it, save up and buy a better one. It's a shitty 300k house, I poop out 300k a day. If you think that's a lot of money, then a bigger house is out of your range.
- I'm assuming you meant I was in grade 2 and unexperienced, er, inexperienced. I'm sure that sentence made sense to you.
- Banking was never always there, of course you'd never know that since you aren't old enough to know that it was never always there.
- the fact of everything you said sounds like info coming out of your ass, shows that you dont know much of this game or its history
- for drugs, it's called ecstasy. Incase you didn't know, it's a choice drug next to xanax and you can get it for cheap. It doubles your happy. Since you don't get the advantage of happy and training, that means good. but its right, even a 45k drug is to expensive for you, but if you had 45k you have the chance to get a heads up. Something older players would of died for back in the day before drugs.
- i'm no high level, but nobody claims to be all knowing and powerful, but when little n00b runts like you spit out misinformation and bad experience info , whine about not being right, it does sound like higher lvl players are all knowing to you.
- put me on the list of dippoop, high lvl person, poster, whatever. In a year you wont' even catch up to Self_Made October 2006. I'll grow even faster then you right now and it'll be impossible to catch me. And by chance you get enough stats to take me, i'll either be a lot bigger or wiped out from being inactive.
- Last but not least, the owner/creator of the site told you too stop whining or leave. If that doesn't say how much of a whiny piece of crap you are, then nothing will get through your thick skull full of useless never get the point babble.

ahh.... so nice to have 900 happiness in my ranch, and that is without the interior modifications. I cant wait till I can slap that bad boy upgrade on there.
Also, I wonder what you need to have the option of having a safe in your house? hire a body guard maybe? Im sure that all these new upgrades will keep the help sites busy for the next few months.
Great Work All! now if my cloak of invisibility would just let me sneak around and get some more cash for upgrades, that would be great.

1725 is the max, but that means 150k per day for the guards. That's pretty pricey.
Everything bar the guards is still a great relatively cheap happy boost. ^^

Another nail in the coffin, handicapping is driving the vets away. And in my opinion ruining the spirit and draw of the game. Part of the game was building your way up to getting a better house, now when you can have a mansion that is just as good as a castle there is no longer any point.
If it wasn't broke, why fix it?

Nothings changed in that regard. In fact properties above mansions have higher happy differences now when upgraded than before when there was none.
Plus they have access to other special abilities, not just more happy.
The average person in a Mansion probably couldn't afford 150k a day just for the guards, let alone the rest. Properties are still scaled fairly, and there's more incentive to get higher ones because you're paying exponentially for my happy with higher property upgrades.
People in Palaces+ are getting crazy happy now, and even the Ranch, when before the upgrades only gave 100 extra happy on a Mansion, now upgraded is 200 happy PLUS the range special ability.

Next option - $32.5m

I think selling back to the estate agents should still be in place- at least for unaltered buildings. For altered ones they would have to go onto the market.

Having just tried this, I can answer you.
You have to pay the full price next time. That's another problem with this, I figured you would just be able to upgrade at half the cost... but there's no way to get that money back, so I've wasted it. Had I known you couldn't upgrade I would have waited.

Must be just you cuz i'm not having a problem. In fact i can steal about 6 cars in a row b4 i fail whereas i used to could only steal 2 then fail one.

Previously in the estage agent it was stated that You can not loose money in housing!.
I bought a 200 mil Castle and since these updates I can't sell it back to the estage agent to get my money back. I am forced to sell in the free market where there is one going for 179 mil. Yes this effectively means I have lost 21 mill through this update and probably more when players realise they cant sell their houses like before.
The problem here is that this is not just a change in the game that players may not have expected but the coders went back on their word about housing.
Flame me all you want, I understand how the housing upgrade helps new players out with the extra happy and renting. Thats all well and good but it doesnt change the fact that we were mislead and the warning about not living in our spouses houses makes it worse. The admin must have known players would buy their own houses to get through this time and now they dont get their money back as they were lead to believe.
Chedburn could have warned us about this change and is it goes back on what was previously stated I believe he was obliged to do so. Even now he is obliged to honour what was previously stated even if only for a fixed period that it better than nothing.
Update: Castle prices have dropped to $174,000,000
