it's pretty bad, i'm glad you're finally changing the login screen but that pic is just horrible, i'd rather have it back the way it was, i know it has been said before, but i makes it looks really childish, and the blond girl looks like her head is shifted 180 degrees, the faces in the middle are ugly, and the car looks really bad, i would say just get a better picture, hold a competition or sumthin. some people on this game can make wayy better pics, and if you can't be bothered to make a new one just change it back, it was better then it it now
Though it is unlikely that my opinion will matter, I’m going to put this out there anyway. In my opinion the art style conveys a more childish image than it should. This game is clearly adult, and the homepage should reflect that.
The new page art seems visually inspired by the Grand Theft Auto cover art, but is relatively childish in comparison. The new page just seems like an amateur rip-off, and while I’m not saying my Illustrator/Flash (or whatever the hell it was made in) are better than those of the designer, I at least have the decency not to call my work professional.
I would never charge someone money for that. The detail level on the headlights of the car makes it look like the left half of the image was done by a separate artist to the right.
Tell whoever did this design that Illustrator has a neat little feature called Live Trace or something, that traces raster images and converts them into vector. While it’s hardly perfect, it just might be better than this.
I feel bad now… sorry if the designer is here on TC

i don't know if this has been suggested, but the admins should definitely hold a contest for players to create a login page with points as rewards...i think we could do a lot better than this current one.
wow that's a terrible drawing. not only that it looks like it's trying to gta. though gta is rated mature it's proven that it's mostly played by pre-teens. makes the game look childish to people who see me login.
1. You leave home and make your way to the finest Showroom in Torn City.
2. Its open so you walk inside and begin browsing through the cars.
3. You walk over to the Porsche 911 Turbo and pull out the coat hanger.
4. To your surprise, the door is already unlocked! You dive under the dash-board.
Result: You can't find the correct wires to cross, after 5 minutes you give up and run home.

It's something different; actual thought in put into the log in page. The old page was okay and functional. However, this change may signify changes in the in-game graphics; or may be not. Hypothetically, if I was someone just going to first start playing TC, it would not detract me from playing or thinking that it is a kiddy site.
My only negative is that it looks a bit boombastic.
To all that are saying the log in screen does not matter remember, this is the first impression that newcomers have of the game. To all that say it is good, read some of the more constructive nay sayers. It does look TOO MUCH like GTA. An earlier post shows this. It DOES look like it was drawn by somebody with no artistic talent, professional or not. (Sorry, Ched.) Is it better than the old log in screen? Yes and no. It is at least eye catching to the new gamer but gives a totally wrong impression of the game. Faction wars are probably the biggest part of the game but not represented in the picture. Hopefully not much was spent on the art and the artists of TC are given a chance to, once again, prove themselves better than most.

Go ahead and forum ban me. Put me in fed if you have to. That is the dumbest thing in over 400 days I've seen. Stop trying to make TC look more attractive to suburban kids. It's a fun game. If people try it and like it, they will stick with it for a long time. If they don't like it, they will move on to another text based browser game and have a lasting impression of the tacky login page.
Please stop wasting our donations on "professional" services."
