Holy crap, I knew it was styled similar to GTA artwork, but I didn't realize it was that closely ripped off.

Okay, I don't like it. Personally, I don't see anything about childish, or especially GTA-ish, or drawn by 5-year olds. I see a higher necessity for graphics, and I'm usually on dialup. The computers I use in a normal week vary from 28.8 up to Cable/ADSL. I've been able to reliably load Torn on every one. Since we've started with more image-reliant things, such as the Home screen or the Captchas before Crimes and Gym, you're basically saying that unless people upgrade, they can't play your game.
So stop with the pointless images and start going back to basics.

eh, too cartoony. Not really childish, but not adult like either. Its better than the old one though. Old noe had too many words, and looked dull. This one has maybe too few words? But its looks welcoming and brighter

I like it, but it looks a bit too cartoonish more than realistic and profesional. But its a nice change, but i personally think the old one was better. A more realistic look will make it look better.

Has there ever been a painting that everyone liked, has there ever been a song the every one liked. It's quite obvious that everyone is different and some like it and some don't.
For the inspiration blabla,
again take a song/genre, for example rock, there are tons of people that created a song the somewhat have been using the same beats/speeds/lyrics than others. The thing is inspiration is just not bad. Aswell, if an artists sees an image on the internet that has been inspired from himself, then that's an honor. Ripping is copying the whole thing and that's just not it.

it is actually quite good
doesnt work too well on mac osx 10.5 with firefox 2, boxes stick out too far

I like the new login box but the picture dosn't excatly mach the ingame feel. An it definitely needs a brief detail on the game.
I think we should have a Competition!
People can draw and submit art work for the login screen. Then we have a vote similar to the Mr/Mrs. TC thing.
This new 1 can be graded against the player submitted.
Winner gets a prize - points or whatever

i like the idea of a new login screen, but i agree with the one's saying the faces have to go... great idea, but another pic would be a lot better for it. i also think there's a lack of uniformity in style for that and for the rest of the site.
i also like the competition idea for it. there are some awesome graphics artists on tc, it'll give them something cool to do

The thing about the new login page is ,
You have the start up page and then the boring torn city grey.
make both match - it looks like the link is to the wrong page and as if the login page is not at all related to the game
