We'd like to gather some basic information about mobile phone usage from our users. We look forward to announcing a complete full-site redesign with the view of providing a perfect experience on mobile phones and tablets as well as computers, in the coming months.
Currently we've failed to offer a properly mobile friendly version of Torn, and while mobile apps are probably impossible, we've proved a responsive website which provides an experience much like an application is certainly viable.
So, how often do you use your mobile phone for Torn? Also, feel free to post more detailed feedback in this thread.
Edit - I'm not sure why, but 90% of the community seem to think this is regarding a mobile application, I tried to make very clear that this won't be happening and "mobile apps are probably impossible". This poll is regarding a very mobile friendly website, nothing to do with applications. For single player 'client-only' games, apps are fine - but with Torn it requires security and authentication with every single action, so an application would a) Cost around $500,000 to make a full version of Torn. b) Be a logistical nightmare. c) Work just like a website anyway, requiring loading time in-between actions. A citywatch style application for android and Iphone which would automatically log you in to a very mobile friendly version of the website is being discussed, but this is far in to the future. Any app we do release in the future would most likely be free, Torn is supported via donations and is not 'Pay to play'.

I use it daily on my phone, login several times a day on my phone while at work. Also login on my tablet when reading an e-book, so I access Torn from laptop, mobile and my tablet.
Mobile friendly site/app would make things easier

An app on mobile that resembles City Watch would be helpful. Alerting you on events, mail, and when drug, energy and nerve timers are complete etc.

I use it quite frequesntly though I dont have any issues with it as such the zooming in out etc and misclicking links can be a pain on mobile.
I would say I try limit it to just the basics as generally one is out and its a little unsociable but I would be prepared to purchase an app if that was considered even if it was just for ease of using gym crimes and travelling rehab etc.

I use Torn several times a day from my mobile, don't have any issues with misclicking etc as it's easy enough to zoom in.
I wouldn't be prepared to buy an app as even in it's current format I find Mobile Log In of Torn fairly functional.

I use it when im not able to access my computer so reguraly id enjoy an app though and i think if you could get one it would bring a huge number or people to the game.

Whenever my internet is playing up (which is more often than I like) I can go 3G on my phone and train and do my crimes and have a look around the forums. Don't spend ages on there when I am on it though.

am always on my phone to play torn as i am unable to get on my comp due to the kids lol
i have a android phone which i find it easy to use only thing i am unable to do is go on irc.

I'm using a HTC Gratia with Opera mini browser, works fine.

On iphone with safari I find it just like being here on desktop. No issues. Simple to scroll/zoom, never mis-click.

I use my phone anytime i am out and about and any time i am on break at work. I find mobile torn works well for me and have never had any problems with the function of it on my phone. Any mis-clicks have been my fault. All i have to do is zoom in or out to make sure that i dont. I have a Sony Ericsson so the screen is quite large.

If you do plan to make an app for phones and tablets, make sure in runs in real time. Cause if it's like the event delay on the Citywatch PC "app", then it probably won't work

Yes, occasionally.
Since mobile phone have access to internet, people tend to use it when they want to access this game but no computer around.

i use the full site on my mobile, and cant send messages whilst travelling but other than that its cool.
i wouldnt pay for the app, simply because i dont need it.
