lol I dont understand how something so simple as a Cron can cause a game such repeated trouble

Ever heard of "MySQL has gone away".... Neither have we. But we're 80% sure that the backup was the cause for this error and were moving the backup out of the way of the nightly crons.

I get the message error "MySQL has gone away". What should I change in the MySQL configuration to fix this bug?
The cause of this problem is the default configuration of the maximum size of the data packet in a database request.
Modify the "max_allowed_packet" variable in your configuration file. "8M" seems to be a good setting. If this is still too low, choose a bigger value! (the upper limit is 1GB).

Forget that I can't remeber how many days of my dps I had left before I used a new dp. it is not our faults that the site keeps screwing up after last downfall and losing major stuff isn't enough enough Please get this issue fixed tired of being backdated in game and tired of losing stuff I love this game but since I started it is one thing or another with major downtime I want to play the game.:) with no issues and downtimes
