The is no plausible excuse for this downtimes, nor for the crash that happened in February, but people don´t talk about it anymore cos they benefit with it, and now we can see that powerfull people at that time, doubled or tripled their stats....
Admins shouldn´t be allowed to play the game cos they are part of the game, they can manage things to their own benefit, like stats, money, items, u name it..... if they want to play fair and square, leave their status and let´s play head-to-head...
This game is like a government, shitty corrupted people everywhere....

I know.. i owned a IRCD shell and when updates were going to happen, the company who provided me the service transfered all data to a backbone ( other server ) so the service wouldn´t fail... and i only payed 35$ /month , but i had the excuse of having pros doing the job, not pseudo-pros who don´t have a clue of what a /ls -aaaaa means.. so don´t try to be so clever when you´re getting into areas that you probably suck...
The problem is that, everytime they announce improvements, they proved to be wrong... so who´s to blame??
And if the crash erased 100% of the data, would you still be here????

business owners, no matter how large, or small the business is. the owners hare unforseen issues, and the customer base damn sure doesnt like any down time. own your own business, and see what happens... pray that nothing disrupts your business, and have to deal with some angry customers. most people that bitch about down time, or disrpution in service,. couldnt handle the same bitching, and whining as they dish out.
i've actually worked in costumer post-sale support and any business with as many recurrent issues and with as bad public relations policy would go under in no time at all ... the reason this doesn't happen with tc is because it's free
personally i understand that this is all very amateurish stuff and that most staff have no experience at all in resolving some of the issues they are faced with but what i can't figure is lack of strategic planning, i also can't understand how new features are pumped out and bugs in older features are constantly left unresolved ..
there are many many other free games out there my kid's play alot of them and the never have as much down time as TC does so i think instaed of bringing in new up dates fix the problems past and present and then move on to updates if someone pays or don't pay to play it should still run fine so CHED AND ALL ADMIN'S THINK IT OVER AND HOPE FULLY YOU CAN ALL WAKE UP AND SOLVE THE PROBLEM

The server was installed and then there was an error. Anything can go wrong at any time When dealing with such matters. Staff or no staff, i will still be the same whether you like it or not. Just simple quit or just stop bitchin!
Why would admins want to cheat for? If they want/wanted to cheat, then they would not be there in the first place and even if they do cheat, then they will surely be detected and dealt with by another admin. They are no where like you! That statement alone told me thats exactly what you would of done if you were an admin.

lets fix the game, i agree indeed sir. . even if it takes a month to do so. then a month or two for a trial run to work out the kinks, and bugs. then a full on, full throttle beta version for a few weeks, or a month. then present TORNCITY. v2.0, and hopefully its right, and never a problem again.......also have a disclaimer with no promises, or gaurantees about down time will happen again.

id raher go some down time .. then carry on like this laggy .. and stuff because after the dwontime .. we'll have a better game ,.. and hopefully it will not be laggy .. so we all need to be patient
i agree why don't they do a week down time keep everyones stat's no cheating admin's stat's or ass kisser stat's and let use come back when that week is up to play and enjoy the game we all once knew and enjoyed playing with out any down time
Why do i still play? cuz i miss my tc frens. Most of my real life fren stop playing after the crash. All of us lost our account. But i still play cuz i love everyone here.
We know that its hard to handle games with this capacity, and something like crash can happen anytime. Even simple programming may have lots of error after compilation I want to show my full support to all tc staff for their hard work.
But there is something quite wrong here. The staff dont really care about our trust. The message like \"we will welcome u back in few moment\" . I dont think few hours are few moments. Even the compensation is not what has been promised to us. U should be more honest if u want everyone to be more supportive. This is my honest opinion
its fascinating on how people are getting seriously bent out of shape of silly friggin down time in a game. TC isnt like the force. where it surrounds you, penetrates you, binds your ass to the chair, and your face to the monitor.
i now, when there is TC down time. laugh at how many people are sitting and fuming at down time chomping at the bit to post something skjshgkdghdfhaha.
theres down time everywhere. TC isnt the end of the world........well for some.......i hope not.......but what can i do., but laugh..........lets move on. surely theres something better to do. investigate such, and go with the flow.
