For those of you that were affected by the downtime earlier on today, sorry.
As many of you will have noticed everything went fantastic with the upgrade until all the admins logged off, and then the new setup went horribly wrong.
We are confident that we know why, but to be safe we have rolled everything back to the state it was before and will do some more testing before trying to roll this upgrade out again!
All donators have recieved an extra day as compensation for the downtime.
Donator day compensation... realistically thats all we lost.. so fair enough.
Better luck next time with the upgrade...
Can't say I'm too surprised, but life goes on. Well, for me at least.
Oh and guys... this means they did make a backup and it actually was restored correctly
if this down had reset everything back im, quit.....where the promise that ched made that it won,t happen again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again again again again again again again............................againnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Hey, less than a day down and comp'd a day on the DP. Taking responsibility for the problem. I can't see anything wrong here! With the track record so far next upgrade should go without any downtime!
2 many sorry.... and no announcement about the downtime before it went down or after it went down.... but that's ok... probably still need time.... and right now, logging in, takes a lot of times...
OMG! Thanks so much. A whole donator day. Reallly!?!
Can you sense the sarcasm?
Ever heard of TESTING?
Releasing anything into a production environment which even remotely has a chance of causing this much trouble is amatuer beyond belief.
When are you going to face up to the realities of the situation you are in? You have a website with thousands of users per day who you make a considerable amount of money from through donations. It's time you started acting with the repsponsibilty you should.
