We've made the following changes to faction wars to promote longer lasting, even fights between factions.

- Faction war limit changed from 5 to 3
- Factions that have been won or lost will stick around in the warbase for 24 hours and show "Victory" or "Failure".
- Faction best chain reset (For the final time?)
- Increased the 'hit before dry' number from 5 to 15. This is the amount a person can be attacked in a single chain before they no longer give respect.
- Capped the amount of respect needed to win wars to 5,000. Meaning even wars against big factions will be much shorter than usual. (Can be tweaked in future)

This is a great start to add some proper balance to faction wars. Smaller factions need to be able to survive while everyone has fun. We've overcompensated the changes to make sure we hit the issues hard, and stop them from occurring again. From now on, we can make changes that everyone can enjoy without any more nerfing.

This will be great news to most factions, but for the hall of fame factions this may be poorly received! For some time now, faction warring has been all about warring smaller factions and building up huge chains. In the past, that was what gave the most respect. Things have completely changed now and big, even wars give much more respect. We just have to break people out of this mind set! If you want to war, pick on someone your own size! You'll be greatly rewarded if you pull if off!

Unfortunately saying something like "It's a war game, get over it" or... "If you want to be in a faction, you have to work for it" to newer factions doesn't really work.

Perhaps these people understand that it's a war game, and maybe they really do want to work to build a faction. But if there's thousands of stronger people attacking them, and they have no chance of defending themselves, it totally spoils the point of warring for them. They can't work, because they're in hospital 24/7. It is a war game, but I don't see the bigger factions in hospital 24/7, and their factions slowly losing respect when they can't defend themselves at all?

Faction chains have also been reset again, the logic from the previous announcement still stands.

The new best chain numbers will actually mean something, and it'll be a real challenge getting them as high as possible.

We are in the process of more positive updates next, including a brand new faction ranking system which many factions will be fighting for!

Thanks!
