Hope all of you had a great new years celebration! Unfortunately our celebrations with family and friends were cut short when technical issues hit Torn on new years eve at around 10:30 pm. Torn required a full restore, and has been reset to 03:00 on the 31st (you shouldn’t notice that much of a difference). Once all parties were informed, and after 32 hours without sleep, it took us a very short time to completely reset Torn, this is a massive success for us and really shows we’ve come a long way since the horrible February crash of 2007.

Unfortunately, things like this happen from time to time, but we’re always able to recover, and each time stronger than before. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience and downtime.

A few users have been affected, they will need to reset their passwords and have been emailed the details. It should be a fairly quick and painless exercise if they had a legit email address linked to their account (one of the main reasons we added email validation).

We’re refunding all donations made after 3am on the 31st, you can donate again and your status will be reapplied if you wish. We’re sorry again for this inconvenience.
