Constantly coming in 6th isn't fun any more. Surprisingly nice first impression, but it turns out this is another badly balanced game. So really no different to the last racing system except different groups of players winning and losing all the time, and by the time you figure out the rules - oops it's too late.

Quit crying, eventually you win some 1st - 3rds and earn some points to get upgrades, not to mention losing for a while will up your driving skill so when you move to the next class you will have more driving skill than most who flew through the last class, until Class A that is

Define eventually. A year? The indicators so far are I'm wasting my time.
Also I'm not crying, I'm passing an opinion, and my opinion is this game is badly balanced. You learn the (imo unintuitive) rules after you've made the mistakes, and then have no way to correct those mistakes except through an undefined, possibly monumental amount of effort. I have better things to do with my time. Where's the feedback that I'm making any progress? Because 'Driver skill' so far appears to be irrelevant. There's not a way to restart from scratch - so after not reserving enough points, you're just trapped in an endless cycle. How was I supposed to know that it was actually a bad idea to upgrade my current car? How was I even supposed to know how near I am to reaching the next grade? This information should be provided by the game if players are supposed to make informed tactical choices.

A good example of making mistakes with car selection and upgrades with no way to change and being stuck.

Thats the beauty of choice, theres ones that work and some that don't work out too well and if you make those choices that don't work out then you must reap the consequences

Informed tactical choices are not possible without information. So it comes down to chance and random luck, and a game killing penalty for bad luck. You walk on the hidden pit trap, you die, and it turns out you only had one chance. Beauty of choice? Hardly. That's just plain bad game design.

I don't know if this has been asked before but why can't we earn racing points from competing in custom races. Being able to do this would help out those people who have got stuck in terms of racing points.

I completely agree with you, however the options to change the game into again an enjoyable experience are far from easy to come up with and integrate. We will probably be here for some time now before anything pops up that will make it balanced.
My suggestions would be:
1. transferable upgrades across same-class cars - or at least the ability to unupgrade and get the points back but only to be spent on the same class car
2. ability to choose class for official races - which may be unbalanced as well and will depend where you can spend the racing points won so then the next option comes
3. adding players to official races who are closer in driver skill or have the same amount of total racing points gained
4. allowing to unenlist cars or, the insane idea of
5. being able to reset your racing skill - 'magically recovered from a lobotomy but you've forgotten how to drive, best start learning again'
Please, listen to the opinions of good intentioned people. Myself, I am grateful for the racing implementation, it's made me be active every day, and brought many small moments of happiness. However, I can not compare it to the old version as, when I was introduced to the game, I was warned off it by a few experienced friends.

Perhaps the occasional charity racing point would help speed up the process of recovering from a mistake or crash. Say 1 racing point every 3-5 races.
I'm also a big fan of the lobotomy option.

Hi,
In classes E D and C i was consantly in places in 3-1, since i moved to B class i didnt win a single race even i spent many points on upgrades, im constantly 6th WTF
My racing skill is over 3.5 now compared to 2.9x when i entered B class, nothing changed.
I suggest to make it possible to remove upgrades and regain points, otherwise its just pointless.
Something's just wrong with this racing system

Is this it for the racing update? Or is there more to come. It seems like this should be phase one.

Managed to scrape together enough racing points for a single upgrade. I spent some time selecting the upgrade carefully for maximum benefit. Result - since then I've come in 6th about 20 races in a row. This doesn't particularly upset me, but from my perspective it's becoming clearer that this 'game' is not really a game at all.

I can understand the concerns I have managed to get it 'right' so far in class e,d,c,b and have competitive cars but i can understand how some of you may have chose the wrong car or over upgraded too much in the previous class and that means you are 'screwed'

Racing quickly becomes grinding; it should have some incremental challenges or something to make it interesting in the long run.

Howabout the MILLIONS spent on the old racetrack with nothing to show for it? Or owning a car dealership for nearly 3 YEARS realtime, yet no job points carried over?
And being put into another class with no window seeing what it takes to get to that class is stupid. Overall, another dissatisfying experience and why I rarely log into TC anymore.
