a new hard drive is added and yet I still see down time and come back later messages pop up......... I, as well as others, think that the casino points instead of energy points sucks big time!!!!

the question is - was it really lack of a new hard disk taht create lag and other problems

Actually, with large servers that have hundreds or thousands of people trying to get at different data all the time benefit greatly from having everything spread over several HDDs.

If you divide the information up in a good way you can literally cut loading times in half.

10 people telling drive 1 to load their items and stats, the drive is gonna start to put them in a queue. Split them up and each drive does less, more important than RAM in a server.
