Hmm, so i vote roughly 6x per day as stated, + all the weekly votes, so about 66-80 r so votes per week, for what... a lottery which one person receives? (Before it was two clicks and a type for a point, now its 66+ votes for a mere chance? Thanks alot, obviously think about your users, fail update.
You may state that it would bring us around more updates if there was more users, so thats an incentive, but it also means there will be more idiots playing, and we still dont get too rewarded for voting 6600% more than we did for a garunteed reward of 1 point?
The main reward is 5 merits for voting, worth $125,000,000 for each user. You sound like i've beaten up your mother.

see the logic is since ppl have stopped donating with real money for dps in a big way needed to put some links to earn cash really so well its not a bad call to vote
If most people think that the merits are worth voting, like I do, then that's all fine and dandy, but what happens after people have these 5 merits? The incentive mostly disappears...
Reading this is like hearing a mother say to her child... "clean up your toys and you get a cookie"... Only to find out that the child has demands of its own...
We vote... We help the game... We vote... we get a reward (merits).... and now... Its stil not enough... Greedy much?
I think its fair enough if everyone who votes on daily basis recieves 25 points at the end of the week and the main reward 10,000 points for the lucky draw winner, since the effort those who put into voting should be rewarded with atleast 25 points just my opinion or it could be a lilttle less maybe 10 points weekly

lol, maybe for the extra time its takes a different bonus instead of points .i.e. extra energy, time of education, something that wil not effect the overinflated economy..

my opinion is, if u dont have any good update for us players, just dont come with this BIG BS...
tbh i think that giving merits for voting is not an incentive, its a way to force us to vote, cause every active player i know will be after a new award...

You will not gain money. The 125M Ched refers to is for the new players that have no clue about the game. A merit is not worth 25M. Not at all since you cant sell them. Only when you like to buy them (using 500 points and if you even can Level/Merit wise) its the value he gives them. Rather useles statement so to say.
But to be OT: voting itself only takes a few minutes in total each day. Hardly worth the fuzz but it could help out in the long run, so why not :)

How do you get money for Merits.
Voting not too bad on time, but one prize is not too good an incentive.
They are worth 500 points each to purchase from the point shop. That is $25,000,000 for one merit!
Come on guys who cares about the jackpot? Why not focus on bringing new people into this game. We need way more new players! Make the game much more interesting!
I kind of like the update. Why do people always complain? If you don't like it then just ignore it, it's not like you're losing much by not getting 1 point a week. Unless you're a multi, trying to scab more points.

This is like a banking firm..... They do everything they can to attract new people, give them benefits. But once your in a month they don't care. They go on to find more members they can pry the money out of. Don't worry the new update has made me decide to never actually vote for torn
