I`m only going to suggest this once, knowing the uproar it may have amongst the Torn staff. But unless we get some better reward system then from now on i`m using my votes on these sites "Voting Against" torn city.
I am still trying to figure out this last guy won when i had over 30 more votes than him. i am lost did i miss something cause i feel cheated. and if it was wrong then why do i even vote for this?
Ched, what I think you should really do is give a % chance to win a point on each vote, and then try to get the percentage at a level that averages 1 or 2 points every 40-50 votes seeing as the average number of votes people will get per day is around 6
with an instant lotto AND a weekly lotto I think just about everyone would vote every day
its not TOO time consuming but, it would be nice to have a second, third, maybe even too fifth winner. Also, we love anything that gives us more merit points! love the game, keep 'er going!

Not until you do something about the self sufficient, uneducated and limited STAFF you have. I cannot advertise this game to people who come in good faith and find abuse and mockery.
And it's pointless, why should I vote on dozens of sites, so you can have more players? This means more money for you, zero reward for me and a lot of lag.
And don't tell me you will choose randomly a winner from all of us, when we should all count.
So from now on, you, my dear Ched, are getting nothing from me anymore.
Remember, the main reward is 5 merits for voting which are worth over $125,000,000 for each user.

It costs 500 Points to buy a merit....25mil per merit...
5 merits therefore is 125mil
Does not earn you any money just saves you 125mil and its not "over 125mil", its 125mil or less.
Ched removed the ability to sell merits long ago, and those only sold for 200k-1mil each...

People are going to complain no matter what....LOL...TC has changed 1,000 times since I started playing if not more....And yknow what? Some will quit here and there, but most keep playing anyway...
Despite all the lame updates, lagging, and asshole staff(some arent so bad) its still the best freaking game around....

You added extra voting sites and removed the reward in exchange for a raffle? It took closer to ten minutes to vote on all the sites that were listed, as it also did yesterday. My reward is a ticket in a raffle? This must be one of the worst online sweat shops ever dreamt up.
Agreed. I was happy with my one point a week for one vote per week. We all want to advance in this game, with points, merits, cash or items. Ched wants the game to attract more players (therefore more donators). So reward us for our votes. Its is too time consuming and too tedious to vote on these sites every single day for an unknown reward.
I don't even like logging in anymore, I play less and I have stopped voting all together..... and .... I am sick of getting logged out every time I walk away from my computer too long.... keep it simple!
I'm going to propose my simple money raising scheme yet again.
No donator status = $0 and 100 energy max
exisitng donator pack = $5 or 100 points and gets 150 energy max
donator pack silver = $10, can't be bought with points and gets 200 energy max
donator pack gold = $15, can't be bought with points and gets 250 energy max
Been playing for over 500 days and like all updates introduced in that time.I have at time invested my own money in the game as I can and believe it helps support the game.
This new voting system is now a real pain and for so little reward.I do not believe that it is having the desired effect.
well im going with the general consensus and saying that this is a waste of time. i used to vote 3x a week for 3 points, then it was once a week for 1 point now its about 500x for a chance... for 10k pts... dont tell me some kid thats like 5yrs old thought this up... this is incredibly stupid without any kind of incentive. at least give us like... i dunno 5 points after all of them have been voted for the week, and maybe 1 point a day for the daily ones. theres a novel idea
