That every week I had to vote 1 time and get 1 point out of it. and now I have to vote all different kinds of places and then im not even sure if its paying off in the end... :/ bummer id say. Yes its a big price, and the money you can make from it is just.... Oh damn and the power in having 10.000 points...

We need rewards, if you still want people to rate and use time on voting for your game. I know that if I dont get like a price r something, then i loose interest in a couple of weeks. The thing about giving ppl 1 point for every site they vote on is a bad idea, that makes the point less valuable and can do dmg to the economy of TC.
But something like 1 point a week when your voted all of em on a daily basis... That should be a nice gesture ^^ People are not stupid, and ofc you can hire more coders, and programmers and such.. but in the long run - the more ppl you can make play TC, the more money you make :) and if you can make ppl do it for free, like now - you save the hiring of advertisment people - and once again... Make more money.

You don’t know how important this is for me, every penny being donated at the moment is going straight into my account, so it’s important that we get new users in to vote to give me more cash!
Remember, the main reward is 5 merits for voting which are worth over $125,000,000 for each user. You will earn these merits gradually over many years, one by one, the more you vote.
The more users we have, the more funds i have. This means i can become even more rich until eventually i dont need torn city.
Voting sites popping up at random times – This will occur while we test / enable and disable voting sites. This is certainly not perminant however it will last a long time while we find new ways for me to earn cash from unsuspecting players.
For those people complaining that it takes too long to vote, please understand...
On average considering there are around 20 voting sites to vote on each day, about 200 to vote on each week, and only about 20 minutes each day...
If you keep up with your votes each day, you'll on average only have to vote 6 times a day remembering averages mean nothing. This equates to less than an 60 seconds a day with a standard internet connection (Running at light speed) if they all have captcha (which one out of 20 doesnt). Remember that with the captchas on these voting sites, you only have to enter one word correctly – so enter both of them as best you can – Your vote may still be recorded.
Times voted stat not going up – Your times voted stat is delayed between 1 and 7 days. This is to make sure your vote has been fully recorded and that you dont earn any merits and keep voting for no reason. If your stat still isn’t rising perhaps this is due to the way you are voting r not voting enough. Make sure that you load up each voting site one by one and be sure to enter many times. Click a voting site link, let it pop- up, vote on it, then close the window and continue on to the next voting site. This will ensure that your votes are recorded. There may have been issues with this as we have been enabling / disabling voting sites, we’re now happy that the ‘times voted’ stat is rising correctly. If issues do occur, we'll make it high priority (Second to the chess game) to fix this for you.
Voting site safety, spyware and malware. We’ve checked all voting sites we send you to, and they’re all clean of most viruses. If we ever feel like we’re endangering our users computer safety, we will instantly remove that voting site (Rememeber we dont want you not being able to vote). If you receive warnings from your internet security, please post a bug report and we’ll find a way around it. Remember though – warnings are never false, but we want you to keep voting. We would never put our votes in harms way.
We remove the voting sites from your view as soon as we have enough votes to win the round, so you’re not wasting any more of your time. This means that often – there will be more voting sites to vote on (Maybe 50 a day eventually) in the beginning of each month. This will slowly fall to (hopefully) zero voting sites each day, as you vote more and we reach the end of the month.
Please do keep voting if you have a spare 10 minutes in your day! We're not forcing you to however its the only way you can earn a large amount of points and merits, it's just very helpful for us, every single vote adds up to my fortune - and you really are making a difference each time (Yh, your all special when your paying me).
yes, it is too time consuming. i log in from a cellular phone 99% of the time. it takes me 10 minutes just to train at the gym. it takes too long to vote from a phone.
sorry but this is the end of me voting i see no reward in it when i'll have to wait an age to get my merits i have better things to do than waste 30 minutes a day trying to vote only for it to all come back later in the day to try again
yes the average of 60 seconds to vote each day, seems wrong to me. I have a good internet connection 10Mbps up and downstream at the same time and low latency. Perhaps my ISP dont have the right peering speeds.
But mostly I think its due to to low bandwidth at the voting sites and that there server isent quite up to the load of all who votes for different games all the time.
10 - 15 minutes I would say, and also much more then 6 sites per day. at least so far.
Meh, I'm already online clicking around on things anyways so clicking a few more times for a game I've played for years now doesn't bother me. I do agree with the many suggestions of making the rewarding process different, at least 1 point a week and extra gambling tokens was better then a weekly drawing against tens of thousands of players. I say at the least re- instate the previous reward of 1 weekly point and daily additional casino tokens ... perhaps add on to that reward a bit now that we are voting quite a bit more then we were before. Other then that the voting time doesn't matter much to me, like I said I'm on here anyways so clicking a few extra times and typing a few more words isn't anything worth complaining about.

It takes a little longer then you think it does Ched. and it cost some of us a far bit of money to download that much. There are a lot of pages filled with pictures when you hit every vote.

It is time consuming however you put it. 10 minutes mucking about for NO GUARANTEED REWARD where you cannot even see if you have qualified for a chance!!!

How to improve suggestions:
- - Have a guaranteed reward. 1 point per vote? r 5 points if you vote on everything available that day?
- - Maybe introduce ''vote points''? Like job points? You get 1 point per qualified vote. You can collect these forever without them disapearing and then spend them like you can with company specials.
- - If you are sticking with the lottery like prize then split it up. Give it to multiple people each week! Show a status which tells the player when they qualify and have been entered in the raffle thing. Eg: "You do/don't qualify for this weeks raffle".
- - Less things to vote on? There is a few too many there occasionally.

I beleive a system like job points and specials will be the best way..
- Get 1 'vote point' per successful vote. If you voted on 7 things in a day, you get 7 vote points.
- Have multiple specials to spend on
Very simple! Obviously the options and prices would be different but a variety of options on how loyal players are rewarded for their time voting (effectively promoting torn extensively) should be certain and guaranteed.
Technically, this system is very possible and should not require much time to code. The structure of a job points system can be used for the vote points and torn is already counting votes towards the ''times voted'' stat anyway.
Please quote and comment on this :) Hopefully it can be made into reality!

I dont agree what about the people who have busy lives and cant log onto the internet for long daily? I just started working a 7am - 5.30pm job and i dont dont have much time for myself nor do i want to have to spend more then 1minute of my time online voting for torncity.
i dont logging on but if your suggestion gets put threw others like me might start to fall behind and lose interest, quickly.
If you have a busy life - then live it? Dont waste your time on TC if you think you dont have time to waste. Simple?
My 'best option' idea will actually work out better for you than cheds new system! My idea gives a guaranteed prize and does not require you to vote on everything on everyday which allows you to participate when you have the time to do so.
If you dont login, obviously you will get behind active players. Your stats, job and faction will all be affected.
A decent reward for voting (rather than cheds rubbish raffle where you are not even told if you qualify) will surely encourage more people to vote on more sites.

Yes.... Thats the point i was trying to make... The 10.000 points are the gold but the merits.... pfff somehow useless, because not only the thing bout cant sell em but ppl with full upgraded merits cant use em for anything other then.. Well it depends if theres been a change in the game so they can unlock new things an make the players, that allready have full slots more powerfull...
i voted over 20 times in the last 12 hours. when is it enough. with the pop- ups captchas that are unreadable and sites that want you to jump through hoops to vote. i think ive had enough.

ive been off- line for a bit just tryed the new vote and im bored with it already click vote click vote and on and on there must be a quicker way then all that clicking:)
The new voting system is a pain in the ass. The old one i would vote every week/day, respectively because it was quick, painless and easy.
The new voting system has approximately a dozen. Each click opens a window which then opens a new window, notifying you to wait before it takes you to the REAL voting site. Waste more of my time please. Then to the voting site, captcha and/or click.
And I don't get shit for it. The thing is Bob, it's not that I'm lazy. It's that i just don't care. It's a problem of motivation, alright? If I vote my ass off and Torn City gets a few more members, I don't see another dime!
I thought you all should know ihave just got a visus from one of them voting sites and spent the last 2 hours removing it.

Do you really expect it to be so easy to gain the merits? I'm just guessing here, but I think that it will be at least 100 votes before the first merit, probably over 500.
Oh and you mean either Saturday 8/21 or Friday 8/20 unless you are talking about another year.
