I don't understand where Ched gets the 6-10 a day.
I have voted since it started (I may have missed 1 day but I certainly have voted on everything for the past 2 days) and this morning when I logged on there were 20 sites to visit.
I am keen to vote and 5 r 6 is fine - that is no different to what I do for my job points but 20 is too much I think.
Perhaps Ched could leave the reminder but have a clicky link for those who do not want to vote so that it is removed from the screen?

It takes a little longer then you think it does Ched. and it cost some of us a far bit of money to download that much. There are a lot of pages filled with pictures when you hit every vote.
Indeed. Sorry Ched, your theory is honestly- - well cr4p!
It is time consuming however you put it. 10 minutes mucking about for NO GUARANTEED REWARD where you cannot even see if you have qualified for a chance!!!
THE NEW VOTE SYSTEM NEEDS CHANGING!!!!!!!
How to improve suggestions:
- - Have a guaranteed reward. 1 point per vote? r 5 points if you vote on everything available that day?
- - Maybe introduce ''vote points''? Like job points? You get 1 point per qualified vote. You can collect these forever without them disapearing and then spend them like you can with company specials.
- - If you are sticking with the lottery like prize then split it up. Give it to multiple people each week! Show a status which tells the player when they qualify and have been entered in the raffle thing. Eg: "You do/don't qualify for this weeks raffle".
- - Less things to vote on? There is a few too many there occasionally.
I beleive a system like job points and specials will be the best way..
- Get 1 'vote point' per successful vote. If you voted on 7 things in a day, you get 7 vote points.
- Have multiple specials to spend on
Very simple! Obviously the options and prices would be different but a variety of options on how loyal players are rewarded for their time voting (effectively promoting torn extensively) should be certain and guaranteed.
Technically, this system is very possible and should not require much time to code. The structure of a job points system can be used for the vote points and torn is already counting votes towards the ''times voted'' stat anyway.
Please quote and comment on this Hopefully it can be made into reality!
Awesome idea. With the current system the chance of winning 10000 pts is just too small.
I dont agree what about the people who have busy lives and cant log onto the internet for long daily? I just started working a 7am - 5.30pm job and i dont dont have much time for myself nor do i want to have to spend more then 1minute of my time online voting for torncity.
i dont logging on but if your suggestion gets put threw others like me might start to fall behind and lose interest, quickly.

It's not too time consuming, it's just them popping up every few hours that has been an issue for people, as soon as you finish testing i'm sure no one will complain, as you said we need new players, let's just hope TCHS crashes before they all get free DPs for life.
Also I personally would prefer you double the total prize and split it between 10 winners instead of one, that gives everyone more of a chance to win. 1 in tens of thousands is discouraging odds.

This is getting to be beyond a joke.
Ched should change the first post to read "If you keep up with the daily votes you will only have to vote a avg of 19 times a day"
There are RPGs where you gain merits by submitting to online surveys from third parties - is it just me, r does it feel like its getting that way here? r is that just the next step we have to look forward to?
Also, the Nag Bar "YOU HAVE NOT VOTED ETC..." is a pain in the arse. If I wanted to be nagged, I'd phone my mother.
Oh - I would like to point out that a lot of these 21 plus sites have an option to click on "were you forced to vote?" Hmmmm... Yes?
Food for thought - for staff, as well - think on, Chedburn, before your house of advertising cards falls around your ears.

Took 7 mins to get through those 19.
Ched should keep some user number stats for us.
That way we could at least see the effort we put in paying off.
Due to my slow connection , Voting one site took 5 minutes.
20 * 5 = 100 minutes. It took more , because I need to wait one vote and wait to pop up the another site. If i can access multiple site i would be better than that. and without captcha it would be the best
Through no fault of Torns im sure, but voting sites are notorious for having extreme lag. It has nothing to do with your computer r your connection 90% of the time, your 60seconds is more like 5 to 15 minutes sometimes. Maybe, staff r some new partys should be recording how long it takes at each particular site so that you can stay with the fast sites and dump the slow ones.
I do agree with cursed_orient. The worst thing of all it's open the 20 sites in background tabs, vote at them all and than discover that they are all still there... Make a way of voting on many sites at one time! and I think that the idea of voting points great too!
We do want to help TC Ched... But you must help us to help you!
Another things for the rewards merits. I don't care about 10000 points.
We need steady and quick rewards for helping you.
Likely with faction award. But it must be get no longer than 15 days if you vote all sites a day.
Well another 19 to vote today... I'm done with voting... From now on i will just click them and not vote... Hope you like it better this way... Works the same for us, just doesnt have results for you...
And yes, this way it only takes 10 seconds to vote for each one...
I'm thinking that Ched shot himself in the foot with this one, people will stop voting because they don't want to spend as much time voting as they do playing, atleast I don't, today was my last vote....
