It takes a little longer then you think it does Ched. and it cost some of us a far bit of money to download that much. There are a lot of pages filled with pictures when you hit every vote.

I have voted many times over the last few days and my stats say I have only voted 6 times. Take the blinders off and work on a very real problem please.

i think that it is a good thing that it is time consuming, this way we wont have to wait ages for our stats to rise, we can do these voting things to make the time fly by

In all honesty Chedburn why should I waste "60 seconds" of my life to vote. (I admit that I voted a couple times.) It sure as hell dosen't take 60 seconds to vote. and as for the 10k points reward. I agree with the many players that mentioned it, that it should be split up than given to one person. Seriously ched we're not puppets that you can manipulate. I just feel that you could have done alot better than this ched and thought it out a little better. Because this felt like it was rushed. Thank you for wasting my time hope you don't waste yours reading this.

It takes a little longer then you think it does Ched. and it cost some of us a far bit of money to download that much. There are a lot of pages filled with pictures when you hit every vote.

Indeed. Sorry Ched, your theory is honestly- - well cr4p!

It is time consuming however you put it. 10 minutes mucking about for NO GUARANTEED REWARD where you cannot even see if you have qualified for a chance!!!

THE NEW VOTE SYSTEM NEEDS CHANGING!!!!!!!

How to improve suggestions:

- - Have a guaranteed reward. 1 point per vote? r 5 points if you vote on everything available that day?
- - Maybe introduce ''vote points''? Like job points? You get 1 point per qualified vote. You can collect these forever without them disapearing and then spend them like you can with company specials.
- - If you are sticking with the lottery like prize then split it up. Give it to multiple people each week! Show a status which tells the player when they qualify and have been entered in the raffle thing. Eg: "You do/don't qualify for this weeks raffle".
- - Less things to vote on? There is a few too many there occasionally.

Best option?

I beleive a system like job points and specials will be the best way..

- Get 1 'vote point' per successful vote. If you voted on 7 things in a day, you get 7 vote points.
- Have multiple specials to spend on

Examples:

+ 10 energy = 2 vote points
+ 10 happy = 2 vote points
+ 10 nerve = 2 vote points
+ 10 casino tokens = 2 vote points
+ $1000 = 2 vote points
+ 10 faction respect = 10 vote points
+ 1 merit = 400 vote points

Very simple! Obviously the options and prices would be different but a variety of options on how loyal players are rewarded for their time voting (effectively promoting torn extensively) should be certain and guaranteed.

Technically, this system is very possible and should not require much time to code. The structure of a job points system can be used for the vote points and torn is already counting votes towards the ''times voted'' stat anyway.

Please quote and comment on this :) Hopefully it can be made into reality!

I love this idea, this voting thing is boring and this will make it much more interesting and obviously more players will vote. 10000 points a week to one player is not much of a motivation. I know we are not forced to vote but if you want people to vote this is the way to do it.

I seldom disagree, Ched, but this time I do. You must have some smokin fast internet to do all those votes in 60 seconds. A lot of us will wait several seconds each time we click a new site. Yeah, the new voting is too slow and too much effort for the reward. I will never use this type of voting.

I love the idea about spending vote points! This would make me vote everyday. Current chance to win lottery isn't motivating at all. I bet that more people would vote if you could get spendable voting points! :)

i did about 10 then an hour later another 10 appear.i'll keep going til i get all the merits but a guaranteed reward every week however small rather than a small chance of a big reward would be better.more sites that require you to click a vote box instead of entering captcha text would be easier too.

More rewards for such a waste of time would be better.

Just to point out, this is the fourth day i've voted. I have voted three seperate times today, clearing the list each time. Those three times consisted of 7 voting sites, 7 voting sites and 11 voting sites. That's 25 in a single day on my fourth day of voting. My times voted is already at 26 so that's lots more than claimed, and I don't think even that number is accurate (way low)... Just thought I would point that out.

There speaks a Level50, who obviously does spend ALL day clicking, when not doing his chores. 8 minutes could have let you empty your mum's bins without being nagged....

Listen to the Vox Pops - we don't really like the new system and there have been various good suggestions for how we can make a great game better.

I bet Ched doesn't even read these anymore anyway.

Too busy counting the royalties from the 15 to 20 odd referall sites we all have to waste our time and money on every day, with little hope of reward or profit.

Not that I'm cynical, or anything...

xD

it is taking the mickey a bit now. more have been added to my list this evening. you need to bring in a better incentive ched, the CHANCE to win 10000 points is simply not enough to convince me it is worth it at the moment. who is really benefiting from this i have to ask?

I have been voting daily and I come online today and find I have 20 sites to vote on.

I mean I dont mind doing my part but this is starting to take the piss expecting people to spend so much time.

a couple of mins doing it is fine but this could take anywhere up to 15 mins to do all these sites
