I'm not being funny, but when I log on to Torn, its because I want to play Torn - not trawl through advertising sites.

Also, I might not be able to log on every day, so one day missed = no chance of points, so (pun intended) what's the point?

Furthermore, if your I.T. boffins are so bloody clever, can they not create a link, whereby each of us only has to click something simple, entitled, oh, I dunno, "Vote", for example and it is automatically registered? Yes, yes, yes, I know the security systems on the voting sites are intended to stop auto- dialling, etc. But surely you could take the time to talk to their people - yes, I said People, instead of wasting ours, (or should I say hours).

Otherwise, I love the game, have a laugh and have made some great friends, otherwise I wouldn't still be here.

Here endeth the Sermon.

V.

If you keep up with your votes each day, you'll on average only have to vote 6 times a day. This equates to less than 60 seconds a day with a standard internet connection if they all have captcha (which they don't).

I have no problem spending a couple minutes a day voting. It makes the game a better place if there's more players. It's the least I personally can do for the game.

Do we still have the once a week vote that gives us one point? I remember when we used to have three points a week possible, before two of the sites dropped off from the voting. This doesn't take long, and even if I don't get the 10,000 points ever, I still enjoy the opportunity to gain more merits, so I will vote wherever I get a chance.

I'm glad people don't want to do this. Bigger chance for me to win the points

Would like it to be more like the lottery though. 1 vote = 1 ticket. So if you vote one time on one page you get 1 ticket. If you vote every day on every page you get more tickets.

Fair?

Don't know about the every day thing - it's simply not possible for all of us. But 1 vote = 1 ticket sounds fair.

its not too time consuming i do think every 1 who votes should still get the 1 point each week aswell as the merits. One person winning every time is a bit anoying and i agree with some other users that there should be a second and 3rd placement too

It is too time- consuming, I done it for a few days then gave up, It's not worth it to try and be 1 out of how many TC Players there are.

I think once people get to a certain TC age, they'll start to realise how valuable merits really are.

Then they'll make sure they vote as much as they can. ;)

Dear Mr. Chedburn ...
Voting is VERY time- consuming.. but what the hell?
If you want to win 10.000 points you better work for it!
I think its a great system, im voting as much as i can, not only because of the points prize but its mostly because of all the other new players who wants a shot in this game!

Mr. Chedburn, thank you for letting us play this awesome game! :)

Greetings from Norway!

It would be easier if you could mousewheel- click- open them all at once.
I hate waiting at the redirecting page.
You also need to go back to the home page before voting for the next poll.
At least i do.

I'm pretty sure this has already been mentioned, but what the heck. I think it would be a great idea if the prizes were split between more people. A lot of people will start by voting each day, on every site possible, but I would bet that alot of users will lose interest after a few weeks of winning nothing at all.

I agree, old system was better. This time if you get a reward your mugged to hell and back after its revealed. Even if you have protection for a limited time. Also with everyone winning these points the value of points will drop.

I like the new voting, gives us the chance to earn more merits.

Although we don't know how many times we need to vote before we start earning awards i am eager to find out.

Its good to see Torn climbing up the charts on all the different sites too.

This practice is at best unethical to begin with. I don't know how many of you live in a place where you have elected officials, like for example, we have the president of the USA. Imagine if you will going to the voting booth and someone there was simply giving out twenty dollar bills if you voted for them.

Unethical or not, people should play this game for the things that this game actually does. What good is it to recruit new players when that just adds to the total of irritated gamers.

If you want to scam people and cheat without any ramifications, come play TC.

If you want to be scammed or cheated out of your hard earned belongings without any recourse to the criminals, come play TC.

If you want to refer all your friends, coworkers, relatives but then not be able to play with them because of same IP (oh no you might cheat...) then come play TC.

I think the fact of the matter is, if anyone were to actually write a review on this game beyond a rating system (4.5 out of 5 stars or whatever) then there wouldn't be many new players coming around. There is a blatant need for this game to receive some TLC from the administrators of the game but rather then spend the valuable time listening to the players or devising creative ways to solve issues of the game, it just gets swept under the carpet.

If you exercise your right to voice your opinion, threads get locked, deleted, or worse yet, individuals receive bans. Sometimes I can see where this is warranted; if the posts are irrational and vulgar at best.

I don't think it takes much time to vote on the game but honestly, does this game really deserve a 5 star rating for 2 star service?

EDIT: As an example, this post was written with the correct spelling and grammar but as the post is made, the system messes up the punctuation and a few words are misspelled, which when editing the post, they appear correct.

*slow clap*
Ihavn't been here too long, but I've heard people talk about inflation problems, seen numerous bugs and realised that the only way to REALLY get decent cash is to donate r be good at making graphics..
People are saying that they should recieve 25 points a week for voting. 25. Do you know how many points you get in a donator pack? 50. and for every 100 points you can BUY a donator pack, which lasts a month - around 4 weeks.
but... 10000 points? Don't you think that's a tad excessive for one person? Maybe, 500, 1000, 1500...but 10000 is totally OTT. Especially as only one person wins. If you split the prize, as mentioned, and maybe give 10 people 1000 points? A few more some money, stuff like that. So at least people are winning SOMETHING.
Also, don't announce WHO wins. I know you wanna show that someone is getting the prize, but really they just become a target for jealous people, r people who think there is some way to con them out of some cash.
And I wish I could understand what some people are saying...but I have dyslexia (albeit mild) and a terrible number recignition problem, and seeing ' all the time is really making it difficult to understand half of what people who type stuff out are saying. :/
I love the site and will probably carry on voting, but when I'm usually on my phone I can't really do captchas...
Not to mention a voting site gave me a captcha which had Chinese writing, then the word pickdo. Not sure how I was supposedto get that one without wapping out a foreign keyboad.

- relax now, my comment is over.
