Well, if you really want the fastest in the secure section of RAID setup a RAID 0+1
This will require atleast 4 harddrives. You setup a RAID 0 array and then add in another RAID 0 array. Then you set the two array's to RAID 1.
That will give you the fastest RAID 1 array. I was just stating that adding a second slave RAID 1 will make the master disk write to not only the backup slave, but to another backup slave. Trust me, it will add alot of pressure to your already overloaded Processor and RAM.
(I build computers for a like "secondary" living)
Western Digital Caviar hdd's are very good RAID 0 harddrives. I have used them in all my computers and have yet to experience a fallout like you guys did.

Yer, RAID10 (or O+1, depending how you want it) is an option although again we have found it less fast in testing than two seperate RAID-1 arrays... which is effectively the same if you think about it...

guys drop it.... who cares what they use. This is the best tc has ran since i have been playing. Only time will tell if it will hold up. Will know how much better in a few hours when every one comes online. Till then I am happy.

I really would love to know what motherboard your using...
Since the best server motherboards (quad Socket F) only support 16gigs of Ram (8 slots) with 2gig sticks of 240pin ddr2sdram...
I highly doubt you have 50gigs of ram in your desktop PC...

incubusq you noob try typing in english so people know what your on about and about this donating i wont be donating if i am gonna get ripped off again cos the admin cant run and maintain a server properly,we pay then we get ripped off bigstyle when the server crashes and we only get a little portion of what we lost thats bs.
