yeah of coz fair for your own people and who didnt lose too much!!!f@#$!!!
how about people like mw.. who slaved in SAfrica !!!!! for f@@@ whole time.. to get better house.. when it nearly there.. it cut off..

THIS IS HOW THEY PAID BACK AFTER I SPENT OVER 800$ OF REAL MONEY IN THIS FKING GAME!!! DO WAHTEVER U WNAT I DUN FKIN CARE ANYMORE..
AFTER A YEAR AND HALF ALL I GOT FROM THIS GAME IS TONS OF PAYPAL BILLS AND UNFAIR JUDGMENT!!!!!!

We have decided not to credit back the money hunting made over the past month. We feel this would be very unfair on the other players since, as long as you travelled back to Torn you most likely would have spent the cash on items/put it in faction. Only the hunting money you had on hand or in bank would have been lost, which the compensation should more than cover. Sorry if you are affected negatively by this.
It is possible to give hunting skills back (although very complicated) but this could cause more problems than its worth. And since we will be implementing hunting changes with the upcoming 'patch', we didn't think this was worth it.
All donator issues have been sorted and users credited. I will continue to check them daily if any of the new players are late creating an issue for their lost donator packs.
We are still looking for decent compensation numbers, but I feel most of the players should be more than happy with the result. At least enough to get you up and going again.
Extra house: I realise a lot of people got extra houses (married people) and some people got better houses then they should have gotten. I also realise a small amount of people did not get their houses back, I apologise for this. All of these are side effects of the script which credited properties back. You are free to keep the properties.
As I said before in my first post, I really do thing this crash has strengthened Torn a hell of a lot. It has made staff realise how important the data is. I personally will be working twice as hard to bring out new updates and optimizations over this year.
We are lucky the crash happened when it did, it brought to light that the backup wasn't fully working. If it had happened a few months later, we would be looking at much worse results. But I can say to you now, with my hand on my heart, this won't happen again. Of course, we can't stop hard drive fails and other crashes, but as long as we keep a very close eye on the backups, Torn City will be fine for years to come :-)

I mean wth .. those ppl spent their energy doing it, how is it any different than ppl that built up stats? I could understand if those records were lost but Ched said they can be restored...
Laziness is really not cool when it comes to administering a game. Especially at this time.

This i not right. I along with a lot of other players gave up a month of working on there battle stats to go hunting. Now we lose everything money hunting skill so the only ones who benifit are the wants who did not hunt. I've lost about 20mill
dropped 4 levels and all my hunting skills.

I lost a month on my dp pack that I bought from paypal lost all my hunting experience and money I made while I was still there when tc went down this is not fair at all this sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stark disbelief maybe? lol
All I know is I'm on tenterhooks about the upgrade going in.
Many players are still very unhappy. Can you imagine what it will be like if the upgrades make the game go belly up when the pain of recent events are so fresh in the mind?
If its a business strategy based on the hope that the introduction of some novelties will deflect attention from this subject then it is a very risky one.

So its fair for "a lot of people" to get 15/65/200 or even 500M and not fair to give ppl the money they won?
Mistakes happen but the Frankenstein paches youre making along the way are killing the game.
Note: Wasnt hunting and my loss was nothing compared to this guys (+/- 14M)

The day that torn city went down i had 8 million dollars on hand and 4mill in the bank getting out that day i had saved all that money up solely from hunting I was planning to buy myself a ranch after lunch but that was when the site went down.
If i had managed to buy the ranch 1hour earlier would i have had my new house compensated and would i now be living in my ranch???
