like that formula , the original idea would have caused more problems due to inflation.. no compensation formula will make everyone happy, but i think u are on the right track...

i dont think money should just be given out by level alone.
also, if it is just gonna be down to level, maybe have it incremental e.g:
lvl 1-10 500k per level
lvl 11-20 1.5 mil per level
lvl 21 up 2-3 mill per level |
i think thats a good idea personally, because then the high levels who lost palaces will be able to get them back, and the lower levels who most likly didnt have excellent houses can get a boost towards them.
and inflation problesm, surely its the idiots fault for buying an item which cost 4 times what it used to.
also couldnt you put limits on how much certain items can go on the market for? thatll help stop inflation

I lost more than 20 mill can ever make up,but i'll be happy just to get this issue behind us and get back to playing the game,i know its no way of puting things back to where they were,and some are going to loose more than others no matter what Ched does,and im sure if he could put it back to where it was he would to get this off his back too.Like Forrest Gump says (Life is like a box of chocolet you never know what you going to get)some will lose some will loose no matter what Ched does,so lets just suck it up and go on.

Yes i think its a fair enuf compensation .
Although i lost more than 3 merits but anyway i will be happy to get any compensation .
About the money i didn't loose that much so for me thats not really a big prob . And abt the lvls crime exp i think v shld try get over it and get moving

So giving out trillions of dollars is not going to fix the problem but we will find a suitable amount to make everyone happy. We will certainly be giving out 31 days donatorship to everyone and most likely at least 3 merits out each. The money will end up to be most likely around 20m to the high levelled players and something suitable for the lower levels to cover any big losses. |

How about a quick rundown of the current backup system, drives, and policies (wouldn't now be a good time to update those terms and conditions to reflect what the service is responsible for due to an outage)?
Just something to let us tech-heads know that it's worth our time to build back up to where we were. (Ok, so I wasn't quite that far up there, but you know what I mean).

And your idea of a higher level would be? I lost quite a bit.. Work stats, merits, a rank, my house, goot bit of money , several crimes, etc etc. I do want something in return for the loss of everything..o_O

yes, exactly what is being considered a higher level? before "the meltdown" i was level 21 on my way to level 22, and now im back to 20 minus some merits, stats, etc. like everyone else.. perhaps everyone lvl 20 and over is considered higher?

i think 20 mil to high lvls is a joke...i can make 1.5mil+/ day just from crimes and i lost crime exp, and busts changed...hard to get back the amount now

The points and items markets aren't working properly yet. I put 20 points up for sale and they just disappeared. Same thing happened to a morphine I put up there.
Edit:Thanks Ched for getting things back to where they are now. I know it's still off from where it was before, but I'm just glad I can play again!

People, please read what staff is writing. If they knew what everyone was supposed to have, it would have been given back. If they lost the data they have no way of knowing what is supposed to be what.
As for merits and awards, YES you do get the merits again. My hubby and I got behind on 2 wedding merits. When we came back up it was a day away from a wedding merit. At reset, we got the merit. So they are re-obtainable.
You should be happy we get anything back lol. Don't bite the hand that feeds you...or in this case, is in charge of compensating you for your losses.
I lost a lot in the crash, and so did a lot of ppl I know. These things are things money can't buy back, but if Ched was able to give them back, don't you think he would do it? Then he wouldn't have to worry about everyone getting pissy and argueing about compensation.
I said this in the compensation thread and I'll say it again, the way everyone is whining, I wouldn't blame Ched if he decided to give nothing back.

This is getting ridiculous! Inflation would bring hell to the game? But we are already in hell, thanks to that server fiasco!!!
Make the busting easier like it was before if you are unable to compensate for lost crime exp! 20 mill max is nothing more than a joke to compensate for a server failure that causes permanent and hardly recoverable losses to all of us.
