Thats awesome. I am very impressed and would be very pleased with that kinda cash. I'd definetly prefer the cash over the points.

Thinking about it pouring that much money into the economy probably not a very good idea.
However for those of us who've lost a lot of crime exp as whiterose said. Crime ticks for a week or so would be nice so we can get back into the swing of things.

I agree something muist be done to compensate the losses, but 3M per level is a lot...when I started playing, more than a year ago, it was hard, almost impossible, for a lvl 10 to get a mansion, since dp's were cheap and points were cheap too.
By giving a lot of cash to newbies, the game will surely be messed up.
Maybe you should come out with classes of compensations, like:
lvl 1-5 - 500k per level
lvl 5-10 - 1M per level
and so on...
Either way, seems regular economy will be screwed up anyway, so ...

If this were implemented, many more people would end up quitting than have already, which equates to a lot more lost revenue for Chedburn.
For the good of the game's long term future and for your own future income, don't do this.
It'd be better to take a hit now and give us something that costs you, i.e. dp days, than take the hit a few months down the line when the game dies.

i like the idea apart from the lower levels getting so much money. also how will you know how much to give each player because a lot of people will lie about how they was doing in order to get more compensation

| Well i was level 20 before the crash. :/ If we could get our levels back that would be good.. but if not eh. Guess its hard to tell who was really what level. But otherwise good idea.. Might be some incentive for those who are considoring quitting to stay. |
Nobody is quitting....face it, we're all addicted! lol
I think what Ched is offering is very fair and very generous!

I was a lvl 5 and had to start over. I think my account is still out there though because i had someone on my enemy list and they only had one enemy (me) before the crash and it still shows on thier page. I dont want to be jailed for farming if my old acct is still out ther. The money would be nice so i can get my mansion back.

it Should be 3,000,000 x the Person's Level.
I lost 2 Levels. As well as my newly bought Palace. So, all that money is gone.

I also think along the same lines, especially with the first sentence. You can't please everyone either, like someone mentioned before, so don't try.

Good intentions with terrible consequences...Ched needs to have a good read through this thread and realise it would ruin this little gold mine of his if this idea ever happened...
We need compensation in none money terms if we want to keep the game as we know it...

I know some players choices in the game were effected more by this change. Maybe not a darn thing can be done to help. Hope its not the case, and I raise a question in my next paragraphs as to it may help some players and fix some of the even more meaningful choices, please read on.
My understanding is that we are playing at the end of the beta testing. Players made alot of choices in that, like going to rehab, is this beta choice now going to remain a mistake on there part in TC?
Would TC have the backup to before the beta testing started? whats another week backed up if more player choices get evened up. Not sure if the problems fixed in beta would need to be fixed again, but wouldnt it be worth it?
I dont recall reading much about this matter, forgive me, the last day I have been dealing with one of my beta choices.
Edit: I read the FAQ, used an example listed in it. But I dont think any question covered if the server could have the end of beta testing data changed up for the beginning of it.
Even though that doesnt fix some of the huge changes it removes an intire category of problems. Just saying; if we do have a copy of that, change it up with this. Why should people deal with choices made to test the server for errors, or even to have a better understanding of potential choices.

I think this is good, seeing how i lost 6 lvls, and 2 merits that i had, but as long as the game goes up and running agian, thats all that matters to me.

Sigh.. I lost 600k+. SOld my morphines to someone, now I don't have my morphines because the items remain the same but my money isn't there anymore!!! =( I think 3mil per level is too much as well. Perhaps 700k per level!

so go 500k a lvl up to lvl 5
2 mil a lvl to lvl 10
4 mil a lvl to lvl 15 and so on
10 mil a lvl to lvl 20 and so on...
whatever seems balanced at the ammount you can earn roughly over a month at those lvls given the common player's tendancy...
add in 50 points per 5 lvls increas fo 50 points to lvl 5 100 to lvl 10 150 to lvl 15 etc... that should help some...
not that i want less but i didn't make 3 mil personally or 50 points but loss in exp time classes etc i'd say 500k+ 50 points would about level me out... i'd had the beach house and just shy of 20 points but i also almost hit lvl 10 had done missions was finally making some busts etc...
