here's the best question ched:
How can you credit items when you don't have but 80% of the backups, same with houses and merits? Also what about criminal offenses I received merits based upon that how will I get those back? It wouldn't make sense if I received a merit for doing a certain amount of crimes, also all the people I busted are now gone so will that be replaced?

Good-evening this players of the games and good-evening his Chedburn. Wow. I don't apprehend the nought. I want to mixed I bethink oneself me when all l have attacked on Name: Jackolantern 10 and nobody received one 50 points. All my labor, all through my, all night-time missed, all nerves and all concentratia, the money, everything, he missed through of a inattentions. Isn't correct such a thing, waves is respect against why all the players are due to disburse this inattention? Ched thinks well and mends all these quick problems. Nobody don't wants to change this family on which have it here by reason of of a trouble.

i had 1150 points ,and now i have only 584 points
i had money in bank for 15 days,and now i have for 56 days.
i had Increase interest:8 / 10 [Upgrade],now i have Increase interest Cost: 8 merits (Inc) 7 / 10 [Upgrade] .
i had 14 merits and now i have 7 merits.
i had 4 milions $ cash,now i have only 203418$.
i had 167 days donator pack and now i have 27 days dp.
i had total 135k battle stats and now Total: 121,648.2181
i had Manual labour 12500,and now Manual labour: 10,824 /Intelligence: 27,400,and now Intelligence: 25,815/Endurance: 45,700,and now Endurance: 40,124
i had 6900 Criminal offences ,and now i have Criminal offences: 4,924 .
i had Rank: #13 Distinguished and now Game rank: #11 Highly competent .

I'm just a little ticked, and rightfully so....I was a brain surgeon before TC went down, it takes 10,000 intelligence points to get there, I am now at just over 8100 intelligence points. If I divide the 33 I get each day into the almost 2000 I need to get back to where I was, it will take 2 months to get back to where I was before the crash. I want to know if we are going to get our education, intelligence, and other vital stats back. 2 months is a frigging long time. When I think of all the hours I worked getting those stats, well, you really don't want to know what I think.

We didnt lose anything important in the game. We lost hours?days?months? of our lives. we waited until our nerve bars and energy bars were filled, we made sure we used our casino tokens. We started basing everything in life on a timed schedule in order to get on TC and do a few moves. We lost time in our lives that is irreplaceble, and yet we get flamed by staff( publicly ) by asking questions that are not being answered!!!
Questions that are, maybe ignored, maybe they are just being blatently avoided.

ok i need some help from older players if you could thatd be great : before the crash i had a my donator pack it ran out and i bought another on TC from the auction and used it shortley before the crash...now that pack is gone will i get it back?

hahahhaah this game is fucked i went to rehab as soon as tc came back up cause i couldnt train, spent 5m to get about 20% clean, come back and find out that drug addiciton has been reset.
goodness at least im clean i guess, but where the hell is my 18 donator backs

Here’s where we stand.
Firstly the things which are recoverable and will be exactly as you left them 4 days ago:
Items
Factions (although users will have to be reinvited/kicked)
Donator packs (you will have to use them again)
Battle stats
It says we get our battle stats back just as they were. That didn't happen with me. I had bought 900 defence with job points. Now I don't have that extra 900 defence OR the job points.

Ya know we all have the right to be pretty pissed at what happend. But if your going to get upset and whine and bitch then do it to the company hosting the damn server that this site is running off of not chedburn and his staff. If the server company had been paying attention to their hardware and their servers like they should have been it would have never happend.
and for all you people that say well they should do more backups... they have been doing backups you stupid monkeys but they were probably on the damn hard drive('s) that failed... i dont know bout yall but i pay attention to what is said and what the home page says when the day is reseting...

Can you explain to me how you where going to change from raid 0 to raid 1?
I work with servers so I am really interested. I only look after 200 servers, pretty small scale and in my experience the only way to go from a hardware raid 0 to raid 1 would be to rebuild the array. But of course to do that you would have to use a backup.................. |

well i know we lost more than a month my level which i keep a note book of level day amount when upgrade and it seems we went back to dec13 06 and i checed records on mail that i talk to regularly and this date was on my last transaction so i know i lost plenty on crimes was alev 30 on 1-13-07 and was near 10,000 crimes and now i have 9072 all that hard work for what my bust was 2697....and now 2557 we lost alot for what......i hope this change is worth all are lost hard work......alswoman2

What about job points? It appears that the stats gained from putting army points into strength have disappeared even though my other stats seem to be about right.

this happen to me too but worst I was saving up my job points... I had almost 2m job points and now i have less then 1m.. first off i reported it and the admin tried and tell me that it cause of the month backup.. I don't know about you but if this is the kind of people you have working for you, no wonder tc is so screwed!!! common sence would of told this admin that 1m job points was not achieved in a month! this is a easy fix!!! but of course nothing was done and my case was considered "fixed" which it has not!!! is something going to be done about this??? or are my job points forever lost??? which could be corrected very easy...

who's the stupid monkey? Us or the idiot saying that the backups are stored on the working harddrives? What do you think offsite back ups mean?
As to whos fault ...well thats ched he chose to run RAID 0, hosting companies don't make those choices nor would they ever recommend RAID 0 on a server such as this.
No need to arse kiss Ched in this situation.

Not quite pleased with what just happened, still puzzled how TC is down for half an hour every day but we're being told the nearest available backup is 30 days ago(from the beta backup nonetheless).
I think I've lost more than 30 days.
My bank account has gone back from 40+ days(before crash) to now at 86 days. That's more than 30/31 days.
My donator status reached zero this morning when I got TC back on(had to use another dp I had saved to get back the 150 energy bar), had about 50+ days before that. So not sure where the supposed 3 extra days went.
My education is missing completely.
Also lost over 5k battle stats and more than 300 stolen car crimes. And that's just what I can remember from this morning since I logged back on.
Hopefully someone will look into it, as well as everyone elses as well.

the faction announcements are back to normal, but my money isn't. I had put some of my money in the faction, and that amount was noticed in the announcement. now the announcement is normal, it sais that i have less money in faction. but now money and stuff is from one month ago, i don't have the money
