You see Ched? This is the sort of feeling that will be created by this decision... is this really something you want? The fix is so simple, and you already have the code:
"You have been given $90,000,000,000 from your faction. Click here to accept it"

lets just cut the bullshit shall we the rules clearly state what happened was completely wrong and illegal . therefor anyone taking part in the muggings , taking of faction cash should be fedded and all money should be returned !!!
FACT
This!! It's blatent what happened and the money should be returned to Affliction and the others fedded!
cheers buddy its a complete joke . What i dont understand is everytime a big thread gets going staff are there jumping on the thread like shit off a stick yet not one has posted on any of these threads about whats happened to valesh.
Maybe its just me but why be so quiet at a time like this , is it because certain staff members joined in on the muggings and now have to hang there heads in shame because there wrong ?

krak my lil lump of fluffy love a rule is still in effect when the rules page has faction theft rules there
but those rules are subject to staff interpretation... which is also stated on the rules page... and from i seen it was oked by staff....... so therefore was legal..... we discussed this in a dif thread.....
The problem with his case is their is no proof of intent to scam (at least no shown here). Who is to say the money was not given to him by mistake and then the mugger just got lucky or that the giver meant for it to be mugged but didnt tell the mugger he gave him the money and just said he knew Valesh had a lot of money on him?
Unlikely I suppose in this case but a general rule I can see why Ched is leaving us to make our own desicsions about who we trust in the game.
He (Valesh) was given the cash and mugged around 30 seconds later, till he had lost 70+ billion worth of his own cash. How can that not be planned ? Plain coincidence that Sifonjer picks Valesh out of all people to mug at that time ?
Especially when the first mug was null got him no cash, he had Valesh revived and mugged again. Coincidence? I doubt it.
Irrefutable proof of conspiracy to commit faction scam via game loophole.
Were this a court case, the jury would take all of 2 minutes to deliver a guilty verdict.
C'mon, Ched, do the right thing here and do what your staff refused to do: deliver justice!

And ched stated in here, there was a loophole for that rule. What do the rules say about loopholes? Before that incident no one ever saw a loophole ...
Some of you may say
"It is your own fault if you get scammed, so stop crying about this"
Well.
Being scammed in a trade or something along those lines,
can be prevented...
But how is it possible to prevent faction theft?
"by placing a trusty player as your co-leader" ?
No, no matter how "trusty" that person is, you cannot be 100% sure that they will not betray you for the millions or billions that you have stashed. So how can you prevent this?
The only solution I see is,
1) Have no Co-Leader
or
2) Bank your cash elsewhere
until Ched decides to ban people for Faction Theft.
This really is a massive on goal in your attempts to re-vitalise factions.
What you have now created is a faction environment where there will be no trust, no incentive for the older players with a bit of money to try and help new young players learn about chaining and warring.
In order for my faction to chain, i would want the ability to be able to give my faction members access to meds, drugs and points as needed to chain when i am not around.
Before I would have no problem trusting players and giving them a chance knowing if they did something wrong, the faction is protected by rules.
Now, I can no longer take the risk, instead I might as well forget the idea of helping players learn and enjoy factions, as I cannot take a chance and trust any of them.
You should just forget your other big faction update, and instead now just delete the whole faction part of Torn.

its allready fixed...... its legal...... should have been that way when they changed the general scamming rules.....
again, yes i see the policy as a double standard though same with the policy on staff slander, though what this is, is a moral choice. Ched and iso clearly made one in regard to this particular policy then. Using a policy to cover a moral choice is stupid. the system should do such, hence why ched came out and said we are making scamming legal because we have a better trade market and we now have the use of a trade system. he kept policy on factions because the system was utter garbage in regard to running a faction, ched also took the stance that maybe making scamming legal would start more wars yet he still protected factions with said policy, this has also been pointed out in the past, to take the action he is now is ridiculous. especially at a time where he is still working out a faction war and chaining system change that is to try and make up for the policy removal of blackmail and extortion that i believe HT pressed on staffs moral will then that is the whole reason behind peaceful status, moral choice being placed on policy then removed and no system changes made to cope for it.
Theft from faction bank/armoury
Taking cash/points/items in a faction without the leaders approval, gaining leadership under false pretenses and refusing to return control of the faction to the rightful leader etc.
This is what exactly happened here. I saw a couple of Staff members having arguments with Valesh over this point.
Their statement was: "they didnt steal anything, they gave someone there own cash"
Now that rule doesn't states that after taking the cash they keep it with them or give it to someone else. The said person took out the cash without Leader's approval, so basic requirements for rule breaking have been met.
In some previous threads I saw some people posting points of arguement that it's the Leader's fault for granting access which resulted in the incident.
For this exact reason there was a rule about Faction Thefts.
Show me where a faction theft has happened where a person didn't had access.
I don't feel like having my own faction anymore
I have worked hard to build a fun and loyal environment in my factio
and if this rule gets changed,
there will be no trust and everything will be ruined
