this update was without thought. ched just reacted because admin cried for so long about having to deal with faction thefts. now because of their cries ched just made it all legal so he didnt have to hear the admin cry any longer.

Well, maybe Torn's economy is so bad, he will have to get rid some of his employees (i.e. Staff)

there was an old saying in business; last hired first fired

1) faction are more of common use than companies
,companies dont have co-leaders/ access to fund except director

2) you say its much work for staff to control faction scamming?

Have not it been decreased considerably when u fed the naughty ones??

3) You cant fully trust someone who is 50,000 km away from you, from whom you dont know nothing except his most probably Disguised : "name, personality, life, sex"

If You want the game to be global, Some law need to be embedded in the system.

gloom agreed bud but again access to faction banks is for faction use as elliot stated kindly in the thread moved to suggestions and not personal banking so it was a case of theft and staff jumped on the bandwagon like pikeys into a burning house on the pilfer

I say what i think

So why sugar coat it...

If you give someone access to the faction bank you implicitly give them permission to all the cash in it.

Yes it was wrong of him to take it but I'm not sure that it's something that should be banned by the game rules.

Maybe it's time to increase the size of personal vaults so that people can be responsible for their own cash or has been previously suggested make it imposable for anyone apart from the leader and Co to remove more than they have put in.

I disagree. Giving someone bank acces does NOT give them permission to take all the money from the faction and do what they wish with it.

If I gave you my company credit card to use for company expenses, just cause you have the card and ability to use it does NOT mean you have permission to strip my company of all it's funds and max out the company credit card.

Also, if you read the games rules highlighted by Valesh and myself in earlier post, they DID break game rules, take advantage of loopholes, and SHOULD be fedded. Rules are rules.

That is not correct sir. Else there wouldn't have been a rule about "Faction theft".

This is stupid, sorry Ched. The fix is as simple as having the money held in escrow until you choose to accept it, the same as at the end of a bank investment, as someone suggested yesterday in SmashBros thread on the matter. For gods sake, isnt it worth an hours coding to implement that to save all the bad feeling that will be created by this decision?

Poor staff have to do work.

If you don't want to do that work..simple don't apply to be staff on a big game.

This as per usual is another dumb poorly thought out idea.

Here's an idea, deletion bans for those involved. Noone will even think about trying it again. There fixed and the staff won't need to be pouring thru faction logs.

Poor Valesh,

The problem with his case is their is no proof of intent to scam (at least no shown here). Who is to say the money was not given to him by mistake and then the mugger just got lucky or that the giver meant for it to be mugged but didnt tell the mugger he gave him the money and just said he knew Valesh had a lot of money on him?

Unlikely I suppose in this case but a general rule I can see why Ched is leaving us to make our own desicsions about who we trust in the game.

Managers are appointed for things like armoury and medical access, so why is there not going to be an option for co-leaders access to faction bank? whats the difference

If that was the case you could use it as an argument for ALL faction thefts even in the past, but it isn't.

but it is an argument in support of the change.

JusticeR must be fedded for sure as he was scamming all Affliction faction members by stealing their money.

The whole sum of money must be returned to Affliction and deducted from muggers of course.

He (Valesh) was given the cash and mugged around 30 seconds later, till he had lost 70+ billion worth of his own cash. How can that not be planned ? Plain coincidence that Sifonjer picks Valesh out of all people to mug at that time ?

well this is great co-leaders cant be trusted as well regarding this update, no more co-leaders in factions nice update,

instead of that just look into this issue and fix it, when factions were brought into TC you have implemented certain staff for faction having certain responsibilities, so if you say you will not take action for faction theft then remove the faction staff abilities and stuff or limit access for co-leaders or give more options for the leader to chose what co-leader can do or not

Considering all the changes I've been around to see, this has to be the worst of them.
I'll personally follow money trails and assist staff to prevent this change.

With the limited number of places that money can be safely stored, this is a joke.

Reading what happened to Valesh and Affliction... This is a reason to reinstitute anti-scamming rules, rather than removing more

Especially when the first mug was null got him no cash, he had Valesh revived and mugged again. Coincidence? I doubt it.

And if you accidently give the cash to someone else in the faction, can't you mail staff and have it returned? Yeah, staff would have been mailed. And if he didnt send 90b to me, he would have sent to himself, and stolen 90b that way, as he didnt have more then a few bill inthe faction. Either way he stole it.. Either way he deserves to be punished.

You see Ched? This is the sort of feeling that will be created by this decision... is this really something you want? The fix is so simple, and you already have the code:
