There is a back out option DO NOT PICK A FLAG!
it's that easy i have just tested this it will only add to the ratio if you're attacking someone with a flag
if you do not have a flag there will be no need for them to attack you just like before because they won't be furthering their counties ratio in any way
(of course this won't matter for some since they will not read the forums and just attack whoever while the comp is running  )

I can't devote time in coding, and pay a graphics artist to make a flag for a single person. |
It may be too much now, I understand that, espcially since the competition has already started.
However, please bear in mind that there are more than just ONE Lucian playing this game(I could get a list for you if you'd like).
Just remember us next time arround, and even if a Lucian flag isn't possible, maybe a flag for the caribbean region, there are people from St. Vincent, Dominca, Jamaica, Trinidad and even Bermuda playing on here.
I say this because others may want for one island when there could be for one region.

shouldnt there be prizes for most wins, least losses, and most attacks overall. because just 1 prize to the team with the best win/loss ratio is kind of tight when you're looking at all the players on torn to all the flags that have a team.

i have also found that there is a united nation -- what is this all about - this is hardly a country.
the competion is not viable at all to compete in

simple solution: don't join England or the US.
It would have been an idea to draft individuals into countries so that every country was evenly represented with people of all different levels, and to have omitted all those under level 10; then perhaps them the option to opt into their pre-determined country If they so wished.
Of course, this would no doubt be difficult to code, take much more planning and would no doubt be flawed in some way that I'm sure the next poster will pick up on.
I do have to note, however, that it seems to me that this competition was initially intended to be world cup orientated... given the time of its release and the fact that it features, without checking, almost all world cup participants.
Of course there are extras (I don't remember pirates being a national team).
