What about the money for merit trade way back when merits were introduced, would anyone who traded merits for money get those merits back too, Or is that to far back in the past?

I've been playing this game for 4 years...Please let's get this name right on this 'incremental merit upgrade'...for one thing its not an "upgrade"...MISNOMER...actually its an 'incremental merit DOWNGRADE'...like others, I was waiting for a certain level to reach to implement my saved up merits for HP increases...there should have been an advance warning to players that drastic change was coming to use merits on HP increase...there was none....why doesn't Ched give a choice in the poll to use 'non-incremental merits' to increase HP as an option as well in this TC vote??
***In Addendum : It's very sad to see many players are mathematically challenged in thinking that a 5% HP increase with each incremental merit usage is better than the old 50 X's level merit usage...IT'S NOT!

think about people who already upgrade more than 10 merits to life points which is gain their life almost more than 50k. |

No you don't deserve it, you've already benefited from the merits while we were waiting for the perfect time to use them!.
I really don't get whats all the fuss about.
Either you you want to keep your HP because you want others to be at a disadvantage and that's not fair.
Or you try and mention that the current life system is perfectly fine which I reply back that you really wouldn't be affected if that's the case you you'll get your merits back and be able to use them on the life system.
Eitherway both issues can be solved to reach a more fair result.

All i have to say to that is unlucky i guess some people can make a decision and it also seems like some people found their perfect time to use their merits!!

the higher levels will get their merits back, an just put it back on their stats.
I think everyone's main concern about this is the "Life"
maybe keep everything the way you have it now, but put the old life upgrade back?

Older players will always have the advantage bacause they are just that... Older players.
This is just how it is. Get used to it I say and stop trying to make things 'Fair' for the younger players.
Its not our fault they have only just started playing.

The funny thing is, that 80% of the ppl voting here, didn't spend merits on hp... they just want the merits they wasted on stats, crime success rate, items back... so basiclly the ppl that spent merits on hp, are getting overthrown by those that didn't.

I think im in title to ask for a advantage over you... as i've been playing this game for 3 years longer than you have. And most of you players that were saying in previous threads that hp is not a big deal? that no matter how much hp you have you will lose against the strength whore? Then what's the big deal? I want to keep my hp even tho it's not that high.
Don't get me starting on advantages that younger players have.

I have been waiting to spend my merits on life for some time now thinking my options will stay the same. I guess you cant count on anything in TC can you.
Bring back the incremental life or return my merits!!!!
The 100k life will not help me beat the big guys but will sure help with everyone who is close

No, it wasn't. For anyone that is even remotely active in this game crimes is not a major source of money... you have two choices with your nerve bar, earn merits or drop it for dex. I chose to keep my nerve bar and go for life. It wasn't dumb luck (if it was I would have hit upgrade ages ago and spent the rest of them) it was a strategic and thought out move in the betterment of my character.
So for those of you that are arguing about "fairness" I say this: If the life option had not been available I would have dropped my nerve bar two years ago so I could gain from self-busting. Since everything in this game must be fair if you take away my life I'd like to have that dex please. |
You've missed the point.
Many were saving strategically to use merits when they were higher level to get the most benefit. What was dumb luck was the fact that you happened to use them earlier.
I've been saving merits for ages to use on life when I hit somewhere between level 50 and 60. Suddenly my ability to use the merits in this way has been removed.
On top of this, in the new system, for every bit you upgraded in the old system, the multiplier from the new system gets applied, furthering the gap.
The gap between players who were lucky and chose to use merits early (and thus got a lot of benefit out of them) and those who waited to use them for maximum effect (and got no benefit out of them) is huge - my hp will suck forever. |
or they are just saying as they spent on wrong thing and now they wont lose the money/stats/faction respect and all gained by their f up and get to reuse and those of use that used for life will get less back how is that fair ? took me 4 or 5 years to get a pi how fast can u get 1 now ? look how long it took to get 1 mil stats how long dos it take now ? the only way to make the game fair is stat to lvl caps and all stats work the way they should and a total reset  then when new stuff comes out and ched says there a down side or up side he needs to stick to it not change

SO because i waited to gain 3 more levels and use my merits on HP at level 50 im wrong for doing so lol?? i got an idea, do some actual homework on whats going here then comment about it... i was playing this game while u were still sucking on ur mothers tits pal...
and yes, it was pure luck that u used the old merit system before it was changed... like many have said already there was nothing wrong with the old merit exchange for HP so y change it to an obviously inferior system? so beacuase i chose to take my time with my choices i should be punished? u really know not what u speak of...

wait i know how to make this a little fairer if you take my hp i say let me put it into my stats as thats where i would of used it plus an extra 10 or 20 mil as thats what i would of gained by now if thats were i put it now dont this sound fair edit as thats to low lets make it say 20 mil per merit i used wise

I voted to get the merits back.
If I don't get them back, I'm not worried about it. I spent my merits on HP, but if I had them back I would spend them on other incremental upgrades.
There are other ways to make your profile stronger. At least, that's my opinion.
