I'm agreeing with everybody else, I like the concept, but it makes everything too hard to read and my load times have decreased dramatically (even with Chrome and Opera). Limiting them to the forums, or giving an option to turn them off would be great.

I really like them, it seems like a good idea. An option to disable them in certain places may be a good idea then people can choose, but I think it works well. I think there's a lot of potential for even more development too, like customisable ones etc.
My problem is... I CAN'T READ THE NAMES!!
The font is wrong, there is little contrast between text and background and it's too small. Also... you can't copy the text that is on the picture.
The IDnumber is gone... now you have no clue how 'old' a player might be and click the number to directly go to someones mailbox.
I think there should be an option in the setting that lets ppl choose between old fashion names and numbers or the new ones with the bars.
It's good, But i think there should be an option to turn it off. Not for me but lots of other people say they can't see them clearly because of the background.

i think you should keep them in the item market, the forum main page, and above your posts, but remove them from the last post and thread starter colums in the subforums, and the mailbox.
It's a nice idea, but the font has to be a little bigger, and I don't like the fact that it makes the item and points markets now take longer to load--a delay of .5 seconds could mean that you don't get that sweet deal on xanax. Maybe we can switch back to plain text in those places and maybe the jail.

I don't mind them at all but I think there are two possible concerns.
1. The text size does mean it is harder to read the names now.
2. It does add quite a few more images to download per page. This is probably most noticeable for people playing on phones.
Agreed. Can't read the names easily now without mousing over to read the alt.
Exactly what I was thinking. It would be cool if there was an option to disable them.
