I like some of the updates.....I like the whole more merits thing so we have more awards/honors to work on in various parts of the game.....however....I havent been able to find out info on these new "honors".....why did I get the ones I received....how do I get more.....there was nothing in the original announcement about it.....and I have found dozens of people asking these same questions....can anyone tell us where to find this info out??
I also have to agree with alot of others about the names font.....I cant read the name of the person that I am receiving mails from anymore....and now it's even harder to see which emails have been read or not.....the bold font that we had before to show which emails havent been read seems to be not so bold anymore........is there any way that we can turn this feature off?

The one thing i don't like is that you can't turn them off. There should be a way to turn them off in the forums and ect for users with a slower computer.

I just remember when I first started playing, everything was a lot more simple... but it was always fun. The more things got added, the more boring it became. Doesn't make much sense does it?

Can you bring in a system to disable it?
Like by logging into mobile torn you get the old (and better system). New graphics are just poor. Text is awful and hard to read and it makes the forum and mail look a mess.

I like the new awards so far, if only we knew what we were getting them for.... I cant wait for the new updates which were raved about by chedburn, i hope these were not only it.
Secondly player names are so much harder to read now, i wish the font could be changed to make it easier to read the player name everywhere on the new mini banners, markets etc.

Just as an interim fix - if you really don't like the honour banners and happen to be running Firefox with Ad-Block installed, right-click on the banner, choose Block Image, then click the option that says "http://awardimages.torn.com/*".
It will reduce some TC functionality, but you can always remove the filter if you need to & it saves on the current level of eye strain.

Pretty cool update, but on a crappy internet connection it now takes ages to load simple pages like the jail, because of all the players honors.
I already click stop on my browser when loading most people's profiles and the forums, now I get to click stop a hell of a lot more

All in all it is really nice! Thanks!
But I do not think the honours are all chosen wisely. For example you double the awarding for killing streaks with the effect of people getting even more scared about losng an attack fight which drives people to attack even lower levels...
this takes some fun away, because it was always great just to have some fun fights without thinking about you can lose once and losing the opportunity to get all the merits.
Furthermore the crime honours just double the merit benefit from some crimes... so it is pointless.
Let's see if you've been more creative with some other honours but sometimes I really miss creativity and the objective of increasing fun.

I tired it. Looks much better without the banners but you sort of need like to see who is posting as well. Hope TC brings in a disable option. Would be pretty foolish not to as a lot of people either will have an internet connection that takes ages to load them all or, like me just finds them pointless and annoying.
