Each player decided what to spend their merits on with the old system & as far as I can tell you have NOT lost any of the previous benefits. So why would Ched credit you merits?
Players complaining just need to get over it and try living their real life for awhile because you are taking this thing WAY to serious!

Probably because newer players will be able to spend all their merits on the new passive upgrades/damage & accuracy upgrades while older players can't.
With these new merits I would love to be able to put them where I want them. The choices were crap before this update so I wasted them on crap. Would have kept them if I knew this was coming.

Not liking the life upgrade option at all.
Screwed a lot of people over and also put those who had already upgraded their life at a massive advantage.
Gonna have a look into the weapon ones, but can't you already do the same thing with education?
Also what's the crack with the reducing education time thing. What are people gonna do when they've completed education? There's you talking about changing the merit system because people was wasting merits haha

What happened to the level X 50 life points bonus? The +5% doesnt help. At 10/10 you would get 50% bonus. That costs me 55 merits. With 55 merits with the old bonus I would get 55x56x50 = 154000 life points, not 40925 points which the current bonus would give. It is not fair that some players use the old system and some can only use the new system

i have a similar question about life, is it more life each time you upgrade your level or 5% more of your total?
also with all these new additions is there a chance we would be able to unbuy the incrimental merits we've already spent in order to spend them on something new?

i think they should give all your merits back, you can't bring out more options to spends your merits once every one has spent around 60 merits already.

i have done some research and i am going to vote this down. with the new health system you can never get as much health as the people that already spent tons of merits on upgrades.

I have nine merits, but I can't upgrade my bank interest to level 9. :-( |
I have the same problem; I now have 4 merits but I cant upgrade my bank interest to lvl 4. Im going to keep looking around the forums for answers but a informational massive game mail would be nice but then again im not sure if that would cause too many server problems or w/e

I was going to suggest a merit reset. But it seems its been brought up quite a bit already, lol
However, I have a question, much like many others, about the life issue.
Is increased life now incrimental like upgrading your nerve bar? Example: The second time you increase life it will take 2 merits, the 3rd time it will take 3, etc, etc.
Also, can you only increase life 10 times now? Or could I dump 100 merits into life still?

If improving your life is limited now...what about the people that have already dumped hundreds of merits into it? Seems like some people may have a serious advantage now.....not that they didn't already
and I thought the weapon merits were already suppose to be done with education....

its not the fact that "we made a bad choice" or this or that, its the fact that the playing field is now even LESS even, as older players who made the "poor choice" to dump all their points in to health are now looked upon as making a WISE choice - in fact, it is no longer a CHOICE, it is now mere fairy tale. super high health??? huh???
in order to make things even remotely close to even, do a full merit reset
whatever you spent on merits before (except stats and items, because that affects trains and money.... ok i guess it gets ridiculous at this point..) on non-incrementals, get it back and lose the gains
at least for health and crime  , as those are the easiest to fix. and they have CHANGES now. so make it even??

Well some of us, unlike you it appears, would like to compete with the high ranked players. Some of those players took advantage of certain things like the life merit. While others were planning on it, but were saving merits so they could use the life merit once they had a higher level. Now the option has been taken away and if the life merit is now incrimental, it is almost pointless.
Which means, the gap between the high ranked players and the mid ranked players has just greatly increased and that much harder to fill...
